Before we move on to the all important taste test, here’s a few words about from the guys at MuleBar.

All of us at MuleBar love eating real food and these energy bars shine with that passion. Designed to be easy on the stomach and digestion, all our flavours will change your opinion on all other dull-tasting energy bars after one bite… Packed with exciting and wholesome ingredients that you can identify with and trust to never let you down on a 100 mile bike ride or on a walk with the dog. Our flavour names like Eastern Express, Apple Strudel, Jimmy’s Choc Orange and Mango Tango speak of superb taste and real food.

So, here’s comes the crunch or should I say the chew…  With the exception of the Eastern Express, we liked them a great deal.

They feel a bit more “homemade” than your average energy bar and certainly are packed with flavour.  The Eastern Express is possible getting a rough ride as it was eaten off the back off Jimmy’s Choc Orange.

Liquorice is one of those things, a bit like marmite, that you either love or hate.  I’m on the side of the former, however it did taste a little weird at first.  Once I got past this, it was actually great.  Although you’ll need a good pair of nashers to chew your way through it!

So what can you expect from a MuleBar?
